Onsite OSHA 10 Hour Course

Many States require this for all construction workers. This 10hr-training course used power point presentations, videos, and direct contact with experienced instructors to provide a basic overview of Construction Safety. 4 Hour Supported Scaffold

4 Hour Supported Scaffold course complies with the training requirements of the New York City Department of Buildings Local Law 52 of 2005. The law requires a permit for any supported scaffold that is forty feet (40’) or more in height. However, anyone who uses a supported scaffold is required to have a supported scaffold user certificate. 32 Hour Supported Scaffold

Anyone who stands, dismantles, repairs, maintains or modifies any supported scaffold over 40 feet must complete a training program of thirty-two hours. ABLE SAFETY CONSULTING provides you with easy access to safety education solutions for 32 Hour Supported Scaffold and all Construction and General Industry workers.

16 Hour Suspended Scaffold

NYC Rigging Rule 9 requires that workers on a suspended scaffold have a minimum of 16hrs of training. This training includes classroom training on local regulations, good rigging practices, how to read permits, and counterweight formulas. It also includes extensive hands on training using both miniature and full-size equipment. Hands on training includes such things as operation of a motor, motor safety features, knot tying, fall protection, self rescue, outrigger set up, using other rigging devices, tiebacks, proper use of ladders, safety equipment, and much much more. Workers will be issued photo identification on a plastic credit card type Training Certificate, which is good for 4 years. After 4 years an 8-hour refresher will be required.

32 Hour Suspended Scaffold Rigging Foreman

NYC Rigging Rule 9 has always required that the Licensed Rigger or his Designated Rigging Foreman oversee all suspended scaffold operations. As of April 1, 2008 all new Rigging Foreman need a total of 32hrs of Training. They must have the minimum 16hrs of Suspended Scaffold Training, plus an additional 16hrs of training geared specifically for Rigging Foreman. This course involves classroom type dialog to review NYC requirements, how to compile and complete Rigging Log Books, read CD-5s, and verify worker training. There is also in depth hands on training that includes knot tying, using a voltage meter, sling angles, specialized rigging, and inspections. Like the suspended scaffold class workers will receive a plastic photo ID card with a specific DOB tracking number.

Confined Space

This program is designed to train Rescue companies in confined space operations. This training program is designed to fully comply with the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA rule 29 CFR 1910.146. The unit gives this training by two methods: Training units in the unit’s quarters followed by a drill conducted at a location within the company’s response area; and bringing Rescue companies to the Fire Academy to train in the Confined Space Simulator under several different emergency rescue scenarios.

DOT Flagger

This course will provide an in-depth study of a complex urban grading plan to agency and non-agency inspectors. This 4-hour course is a must for construction work-zone employees. The class covers all DOT requirements for flagging. Topics include flagging procedures and proper use of required equipment, flagging skills (hands-on training), other classroom activities and a flagging skills test. All attendees receive a certificate of course completion.

EPA 608 Air Conditioning

Regulations have been issued under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act to minimize refrigerant emissions by maximizing the recovery and recycling of such substances during the service, repair, or disposal of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment (i.e., appliances). EPA 609 Automotive A/C

EPA has issued regulations under Section 609 of the Clean Air Act establishing standards and requirements regarding the servicing of motor vehicle air conditioners (MVAC). Any person, repairing or servicing motor vehicle air conditioners shall certify, to the EPA that such person has acquired, and is properly using, approved equipment, and that each individual authorized to use the equipment is properly trained and certified under Section 609 of the Clean Air Act.
