EPA training in NY

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in New York defines lead-based paint activities as risk assessment, inspection, or abatement of lead in target housing. Target or residential housing built prior to 1978. Also covered up are pre-1978 child-occupied facilities, such as preschools, day care centers, and kindergarten classrooms.

EPA training in NY certifies public housing agencies, private firms, and non-profit organizations and local state government agencies that perform or offer to perform lead-based paint services. In add-on to larger firms and agencies, small firms must be certified and under go in EPA training in order to execute lead abatement actions. Even if you're the owner and only employee of your business firm doing lead abatement exercise, you must be certified as a firm as well as an individual

EPA training in NY also certifies individuals of the above organizations. Individuals certified in the following categories must act upon for certified agencies, firms, or non-profit organizations. This includes small and sole proprietor businesses as noted above.

For agencies, firms, or organizations that aren't yet certified, and that have workers applying for individual certification, it's suggested that applications for both firm and individual EPA training certification be passed on at the same time to understate the likelihood of a lag time between firm and individual certification, which would keep the individuals from executing lead-based paint activities.
